Over the years, Amanda’s research has investigated and examined areas related to social, personal, and family factors contributing towards adolescent sexual perpetrating behaviours. Her work has been published in the Irish Journal of Psychology and was recognized by a special University Scholarship Award from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.

Amanda’s doctoral research examined children’s personality, family cohesion and parenting styles as they relate to bullying and victimization amongst primary school children. The specific variables measured and investigated in Amanda’s Doctorate on attachment were family interactions, and communication patterns among the families who participated in the study in Sydney, Australia.
